Some of us have been riding for a long time, others are new to cycling all together, some of us race and others don’t; however each of us has a valid opinion and most probably have some fine ideas on how to make cycling with the Geelong Cycling Club or using the club’s website a better experience .
When we are riding with the various Geelong bunches we quite often hear other riders talking about things the club should or shouldn’t be doing or what they like and don’t like. The challenge for any club is how do we harness this chat and capture many of the great ideas that are being discussed in a healthy and constructive way.
To help us tap into your thoughts in such a manner the club has set up an on-line process for you use that is accessible via the Geelong Cycling Club website.
So how does it all work and how can I participate and get my ideas heard?
Easy, just look for the red “feedback” tab that is located on the right hand side of the page. If you can’t find it for what ever reason you can just always navigate using this link (www.geelongcycling.uservoice.com).
I have created a brief overview for you of the process below:
- Anyone can create ideas either anonymously or via a registered name
- Anyone can vote ideas either anonymously or via a registered name
- Each new idea requires you to use 1 vote
- Everyone gets 10 votes to use as they see fit
- You can assign 1, 2, or 3 votes to any idea and comment
- You can remove or amend your votes that you’ve used on ideas
- Votes will be “returned” to the user if the idea is accepted, completed or declined
To get you started we have put our thinking caps on and have come up with a couple of ideas ourselves, yes – surprising but true!
- Enter a club team(s)s into CSV Teams Races
- Create free member Blog pages?
- Create a “How to/Beginners Guide” for racing
- Run “novice” races for new riders.
