Geelong Cycling Club Member James Langedyk combined with fellow Victorian partner, Sean Finning, to be crowned the 2009 Australian Madison Championships.
In a hard fought race with the former World Madison Champion pairing of Franco Marvulli (Swi) and Leif Lampater (Ger), Langedyk and Finning were the only other team to remain on the lead lap.
Marvulli and Lampater took the race win with 41 points over Langedyk and Finning’s 30 points, however Langedyk and Finning were awarded the silver medal with 30 points as well as being crowned Australian champions as the first home team over the line.
Congratulations James from all of us at GeelongCycling.com and the Geelong Cycling Club!
