Howard Takes Silver at Worlds

The Danish Team has narrowly beaten the Australian Team, which includes Geelong Cycling Club member Leigh Howard, in the final of the 4000m Mens Team Pursuit at the 2009 World UCI Track Championships.

After qualifying 2nd fastest with a time of 4:00.851 the Australian team lowered their time by almost 2 seconds but were unable to match the Danish team who also lowered their time from the mark set in qualifying.  The highlights of the race can be viewed here.
