VIS track cyclists Glenn O’Shea and Leigh Howard (Geelong Cycling Club) won the team omnium at the Revolution 1 racing event at Vodafone Arena on Saturday. The pair won the event with 62 points, 16 clear of New Zealand pair Greg Henderson and Hayden Roulston. Howard, who continues to shine at the elite level, will compete in this week’s UCI Track World Cup, which runs from Friday to Sunday at Dunc Gray Velodrome in Sydney. Howard will join Mark French, Katie Mactier, Brett Lancaster and Shane Perkins in the Australian National Team, while Shane Kelly and Zak Dempster will compete as members of Team Toshiba.
