Results: Club Champs ITT Paraparap - September 12th, 2009
Steve Young has conquered all to become both Club and Masters ITT Champion with a scorching ride during the GCC ITT Championship this weekend at Paraparap. In windy conditions Steve blitzed the out and back course in a sensational time of 41 minutes and 7 seconds to take the championship with nearly 2 minutes to spare on his nearest rivial. James Fitzgerald also had a resounding ride to take silver, pipping Paul Blackborrow to bronze by 2 seconds. Kellie D'Orsa also rode well in a time of 48.04 to be fastest female.
Steve now has the difficult task of backing up his performance at next Sunday's 100km Road Race Championship to become overall Club Champion. Last year's champion Daniel Wilson will be hot on his heals and Paul Blackborrow will be looking to take revenge. Dark horse James Fitzgerald will also be waiting in the wings to take advantage of any in-fighting between the favourites.
Make sure you don't miss out on the action and get your entries in early for next Sunday's Road Race Championship - 10.30am St Leonards.
