How it happened...
A Grade:
For the 2nd week in a row, racing was aggressive in A grade to the delight of those spectating. From the gun a trio of James Fitzgerald, Marcus Wettenhall and Blake Hose formed an early break leaving the rest of the field in tatters. Unfortunately James crashed in the opening laps and after rejoining the break was unable to maintain the relentless pace set by his fellow escapees. Meanwhile a chase group consisting of James Langedyk, Brad Young, Nick Squillari, Steve Young and Daryl Suter formed behind that James dropped back to join.
But James Langedyk's stream train like motor started to wear on the rest of the group as he dropped one member at a time until only Brad, James and Nick were left, as the lead duo of Marcus and Blake continued to pull away. With about 20 mins remaining Marcus and Blake lapped the remains of the chase group and started to do their own damage as Brad and Nick were eventually dropped. Marcus then caught Blake napping as he attacked hard with about 10 minutes left to race. With no help from the other lapped riders Blake quickly surrendered time and 1st place to Marcus who grimaced his way to a hard fought solo victory. James Fitzgerald got the jump on James Langedyk before the final turn to take the final step on the podium. Brad Young completed a gutsy hard fought ride to catch Nick Squillari and out sprint him for 5th place.

B Grade:
B grade began sedately as the bunch was content to roll around together for the opening few laps. But a series of attacks quickly split the bunch, catching Damian Harris, Adi Yusoff and Davd Rusden out leaving them with a 50 metre gap to bridge by themselves. Eventually Adi put in a super human effort to cross the gap by himself. David was only just scramble across to make it and sat yo-yoing precauiously off the back of the lead bunch for much of the remaining race. Damian was forced to retire. Meanwhile strongmen Steve Cunneen, James McGuire and Nathan Wilson took turns to attack the bunch trying to form a race winning move. Unfortunately their efforts were to little avail as the peleton reeled in evey move.
Adi Yusoff showed some fine form launching some of his own attacks, but the remaing riders sensed danger and gave him little rope. With 3 laps remaining David Rusden discovered some fresh legs and attacked hard. But again the peleton reeled him. It wasn't until Steve Cunneen and Anthony Reyntjes attacked together in the final lap that a bunch sprint might be foiled. Anthony was able to outsprint Steve for his second victory in as many weeks. Visiting rider Klaus showed some good sprinting legs to take the kick from the fast finishing bunch behind.

C Grade:
C grade gave A grade a run for it's money with some exciting race of it's own. From the gun, Craig Strong attacked repeatly until only five riders were left to fom a lead group that included himself, Martin Watters, David Lay and up and coming youn guns Brandon McKay and Liam McGarry. Behind them the race with left in tatters with only Col Smith, Daniel Alban and Stefan Bos able to form any kind of effective chase group. But the trio seemed unwilling to work together as they constantly attacked each other and failed to form a reliable alliance. This allowed the front group to gain time and quickly looked to produce the likely winner. With 2 laps remaining Craig Strong again surged hard hoping to use his track experience to hold off the rest of the group. But the young guns were onto him and followed him to the line with a slightly stronger Liam McGarry just holding off Brandan McKay in a tight sprint finish. Craig limped across the line for third cursing that he had not attacked just a little bit harder.
